Mass Education

In August 2016, we conducted a mass brushing exercise for 600 children in Misi Bagi Bangsa School in Batam, Indonesia. Each class had their teachers come forward for a briefing on procedure and collect the proper brushing kits for the students.

There were 2 people on the microphone giving instructions and walking around to ensure all went well while the teachers and students got down to brushing their teeth with ShoPlaq.

The entire process, from briefing teachers, distributing the kit and the children all learning proper brushing techniques took 42 mins. That means it took some 42 seconds per student to teach proper brushing habits. The children enjoyed the event greatly.

Most importantly, the toothpaste and toothbrushes were kept in class so the children would practice brushing their teeth free of plaque daily for the following 3 months.

This was all done by lay people with no professional experience. You can teach children and adults proper brushing habits just as we did!
