In 2007, ShoPlaq was introduced to 9 year olds in all Singapore schools. At that time, the DMFT for children aged 12 was 0.72 and for those aged 15, it was 1.07. 9 years later, the DMFT for children aged 12 was down to 0.42 while that for those aged 15 was 0.84.

The efforts of the School Dental Service are commendable and Oral Kare LLP is proud to have been involved in developing ShoPlaq together with the HPB, Singapore.

School Dental Service continues to reach even younger people, below age 9,  to educate them on proper brushing habits and oral hygiene. They have found ShoPlaq very helpful in reducing the time spent in education while ensuring retention of habits last longer.
